excerpt from AVampT [07 Feb 2012|12:16pm]

She looks out her window, it's still raining. It had been raining sense about 9 o'clock yesterday. A steady sleeting sort of rain. The grayness of the past day or so continued to were almost everyone down, almost everyone. It wouldn't, couldn't touch her. It wouldn't be able to touch her if it continued a week or even a year. She turns from the window. She still could not believe that today she would marry her love, Jonah Lenvel. He's a an artist, a painter, that's how she met him.
He sales his paintings on the street, he'd seen her going by several times and felt that he had to paint her. She'd agreed to sit for him when he asked. That was just the beginning. She poised for him there, were he was selling his work. He was, like most painters, poor in his art. Later on in the romance she had diner with him in his humble flat.

The Gentleman Vampire [12 Jul 2011|06:33pm]

I wrote an essay about the concept of the gentleman vampire- here's a snippet:

Some say that vampires should never be romantic or attractive, that they're monsters and should be portrayed as such. Others say that vampirism has always been about sex, and that it makes perfect sense to use them in romance novels. The former often argue that romantic vampires aren't "real" vampires, if such a thing exists. Beast or lover, predator or protector- which is it?

As you've probably guessed, the answer is complicated. The idea of the gentleman vampire has always been a strange one, but its roots go back far beyond Twilight. Let's take a look, shall we?

James Marsters autograph for charity auction [03 Jun 2011|03:31pm]

[ mood | determined ]

While appearing at NYCC in 2010 James was kind enough to donate an autograph & message for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.  This auction is 100 percent tax deductible and will also benefit The Actors Fund and The Phyllis Newman Womens Health Initiative!

Please take a look at the auction HERE!
Also included is a photo of James signing.

If you'd like to see my fundraising page (in which I trade my dignity for donations by posting increasingly humiliating photos and videos) it's HERE!
And I also have a Zazzle store featuring BTVS/ANGEL/BSG merchandise (shirts, mouspads, bags and more) all benefitting BC/EFA HERE.

Thank you so much!!

I put together a little list I like to call 10 Vampire Dudes I Really Like. And while a few of the dudes on the list probably won't be a huge shock, I think there's an interesting selection of those most are familiar with, and a few you might never of heard of before.

Dracula's Ball, October 30th! Celldweller, Sepharim Shock, DJ's, Candy, + More! [03 Oct 2010|06:30pm]

The next Dracula's Ball event takes place on Saturday, October 30th and includes live performances by Seraphim Shock and Celldweller as well as three DJs spinning in three separate rooms. All ages are welcome. If you want to drink alcohol, you must be 21+ w/photo ID. Tickets are $16 and are on sale now at Ticketmaster (in person or online), IsoTank.com and Digital Ferret CDs. Our Halloween event has sold out for many years running.... As such, we recommend advance tickets in the strongest possible terms. Every year we turn away several hundred people who want to attend but did not purchase tickets.

Costumes are encouraged but not required. Although this is our Halloween event, please note that it takes place on Saturday the 30th of October. Of course, a few hours after we open, midnight will roll around and we'll kick off the official start of Halloween!

Dracula's Ball takes place at Shampoo Nightclub in Philadelphia, on Willow Street between 7th and 8th Streets. The club has a large enclosed parking lot which is free, but it does fill up early during Ball events. Doors open at 9pm and the event ends at 2am. Past Due

By C.S. Winchester

Young women are being slain in satanic rituals and it's up to Frankie to find the murderer before he kills again. Frankie must juggle vampires, shapeshifters, zombies and witches, all while trying to keep the truth from her sceptical ex-boyfriend, William Campbell, who just happens to be heading up the police investigation.

The clock is ticking and and she soon finds herself forced to team up with the vampires and shapeshifters in order to stop the killer before he can literally unleash hell on earth.

realworldbites Multi-fandom Vampire RPG [15 Jan 2010|07:57pm]

Who in their right mind would fill a house with real, vicious (and not-so-vicious) vampires? Reality TV producers! When they're backed by the right law firm, that is. You, glorious creature of the night that you are, have been tracked, noted, and invited to come live the dream. A beautiful house, plenty of blood, shady dealings and wacky mishaps, all (more or less) broadcast live to the whole world. What more could any vamp ask for?

The Real World Bites, runing since February 8, 2009, is a way to get your crack, your angst and your plot on all at once, simultaneously showing love for and poking horrible fun at vampire fiction and reality TV. It's a sandbox game with lots of group events thrown into the mix. Your character's storyline is totally up to you and who you interact with! With Wolfram & Hart running the show, plenty of vamps have gotten mixed up in ominous doings, and plenty have spent their time drinking margaritas and playing video games. It is a slash and smut-friendly zone, with crack and drama enough for all. 18+ muns and canon (non-OC) panfandom vamps only, please!

The housemates are coming up on their one month anniversary in the house. Alliances, friendships, rivalries and tensions continue to form. You never quite know what the Producers will spring on them next, or what they're plotting with this show to begin with. New vamps are always joining, and whether it's a war over hair product or a zombie massacre, there is always something drawing everyone's attention.

RPG: Hotel California (Pan-fandom) [09 Jan 2010|02:47am]

The Hotel California RP is in need of a few more vampires to keep life around the hotel... interesting. Especially since when vampires enter the hotel, they're made human again, with a few varying side effects.

We're interested in vampires from any fandom. So far we have an Eric and Pam from the Southern Vampire Mysteries/True Blood series and a Spike and Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Fandoms based in books, TV series, or movies are all welcome!

More information about the game is under the cut. Feel free to ask any questions!

You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave...Collapse )
